St Patrick's Community, who led a Parish Mission in Kilmichael earlier this month, have as a special project 'Mary's Meals'. This is a project for providing meals for young children in Malawi so that they can go to school. Over €1,500 was donated by people of the parish during the mission. Our schoolchildren were invited to to help Malawian children by donating an old back pack and filling it with school items and other little personal gifts which we take for granted or even reject but which are so valuable to children who have nothing. Below are the children of Terelton National School with the backpacks which they donated and which are already on their way to Malawi
